Round Peak Vineyard - Estate Wines

Round Peak Vineyard is located in Mt. Airy. It's a great place to bring your friends, and you won't have to worry about what to drink because there are a bunch of adult beverages here.

Round Peak Vineyard is really the base for several brands - Round Peak Vineyard, Skull Camp Wines, and Skull Camp Brewing.

Round Peak Vineyard is home to a mix of both Italian and French Varietals. So with that combination, you know that they'll go great with food. From the combinations of these varietals (Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Nebbiolo, Viognier, Petit Manseng, to name a few) there can be as many as 16 types of wines to try. One thing I love about the Round Peak Vineyard wines is that their varietals are great as a single ingredient, so I know the blends are always just a bonus for me. It just depends upon whether I want a bold wine, or something more subtle to go with the meal. So do your tasting, but make sure you've got time and some food to go with it.

Speaking of food, Round Peak is so great to offer grills on their back patio for their customers' use. You can bring your own food here, fire up the grill on the back patio and cook your meal right there. It's a great way to have a last minute cookout. Just swing by your grocery store on the way to the Round Peak. Also, the view of the vineyards and hills out back are great. That's just another reason why so many people are coming here to get married, meet up with friends, and to enjoy the music. The events here are legendary, so check them out and plan early to go.

The other reason is that Round Peak's location is busy is because it has another brand of semi-sweet to sweet wines under the brand name of Skull Camp Wines. They are made from grapes in the area, not just from their vineyard. So if you're not a big fan of dry wines, you have some alternatives here. And if you're a beer lover, you'll have even more options. So what is unique about Round Peak is that they are really an adult craft beverage destination that has Estate Wines (100% from their vineyard); North Carolina Wines (wines from the area); and crafted beers from their brewery. Try the "Knuckle Dragger" - my nephew's favorite NC Beer.

So pen in a weekend visit to see Kari and Ken if you can't make it today. They'll have a beverage waiting for you.
